If you’ve worked with Boyd at any point over the last three decades, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Jim deRoin. From sales to project management to design and fabrication, Jim is passionate about partnering with clients to deliver custom, high-end signage solutions—on time and on budget.

His passion for excellence and creativity have fueled his entire career—going all the way back to the day he answered an ad for a job at a sign company.

After only a week on the job, Jim approached the owner with a sketch pad in hand and a prospective client in mind that would eventually turn into a record-breaking sale for the company. A week later, exhausted from the late nights of diligent work on his own time, Jim’s masterpiece was carefully hung outside of the winery. After a sudden rain storm, he snapped a photo that he would soon enter into the Signs of the Times Magazine contest. And after only 30 days into his first job, Jim was a 3rd place winner of a national sign design contest. 

As passionate as Jim is about bringing Boyd’s clients’ signage visions to life, he is even more passionate about the culture of happiness, creativity and respect that has been cultivated within the family of Boyd Sign Systems.
