Oculus at World Trade Center

Oculus at World Trade Center

Project: Oculus at World Trade Center
Location: New York City, NY
Designer: Westfield Group

Residing within the World Trade Center Transportation Hub for the new PATH station and the associated retail complex managed by the Westfield Group at Ground Zero in NYC, these wayfinding kiosks are complex and beautiful. We worked with Westfield for two years fine tuning the cutting-edge features of these kiosks which include: proximity sensors, tap-to-phone beacons, illuminated logos, and PCAP touch interactivity. Due to their proximity to the rail stations, the cabinets had to be pressurized, and utilized a custom intake filtering system to prevent magnetic brake dust from destroying internal components. Boyd Sign Systems is immensely proud to contribute an American designed and manufactured solution to this beautiful facility, where tens of millions of people will pass them each year.
